Psalm 23 – The Lord is My Shepherd

The recitation of psalms – sacred songs or hymns – in times of distress, uncertainty and thanksgiving provides comfort, as they reflect a personal relationship with God. There are 150 psalms whose authorship is attributed to King David and they are the most famous of all religious poetry, beseeching God’s mercy and protection.
