Born May 20th 1992, Lova was sweet and stubborn from the beginning. His father and I were students at the time, and my parents helped us and loved him immeasurably. We grew up together, with my mom as manager.
Loving magic and music, Lova was nostalgic and charming, watching Fantasia maybe 300 times. Even when an actual trip to Disneyland was difficult due to his disabilities—when 15-30 minutes would be too much— we thought he was delightful.
He finished his LAUSD high school equivalency, and my father and I competed for his love and attention. I took him to see movies and went out on hiking trails, and my father took him to the park.
When my parents passed, Lova became the center of my universe, the reason I woke up every morning, motivated by the things I needed to do for him. I fought for him until his last day on this earth and will continue to fight to preserve his memory.
May his memory be a blessing.
