I took this photo during my last visit at Lee's house in 2009. This is how I will remember her. Lee and I met in 1996 in Chemnitz, where the two of us were born – Lee in 1925 and I in 1974. In 1996, she and Caroline came to visit Chemnitz and I – taking my first steps in journalism back then – was to write an article on her. Our first talk took four hours! We remained friends ever since, and I had the great honor of visiting her, Henry and Caroline for a couple of times during the years. Thank you, dear Lee, for all you have taught me and shared with me. Dear Caroline, let's keep in touch!
