Sylvia Saxon

Sylvia Ruter was born in Bound Brook New Jersey Sept 17, 1924 to Lena and Max Ruter.
Preceding her in the Ruter family were her brother Morris (aged 9), and her sister Ruth, or “Ray” (aged 4).
Sylvia was a thinker and a scientist. She graduated from New York University with a Physics Major with a Math minor and went off into a career in technology.
Sylvia Ruter moved to Los Angeles and then in 1961, married Spencer David Saxon.
In October 1964, James Bennett was born, followed closely by Jennifer Leslie in March of 1966.
Sylvia’s first grandson Addison Maye-Saxon was born in 1995 to her son James.
Her daughter Jennifer married Keith Gore in 2003, and son James married Jennifer Syler in 2004.
Grandchildren Sammy, Julianna, and Oliver followed soon after.
On the morning of September 18th, 2013, a stroke took her to the brink of life and on September 21st, Sylvia Ruter Saxon, passed away peacefully, in a characteristically timely and accommodating way, helping her family to move on with a minimum of suffering and a lifetime of memories.
She is survived by her family and her husband David.
