I have great memories of Stan. He was a remarkable man, inquisitive, humorous, generous and the life of the party. His love for his family and the enjoyment he derived from that interaction was always apparent to me. He made you feel special by taking a real interest in your thoughts and then he might quiz you with a riddle or two to challenge you just for fun. I enjoyed hearing his stories, I wish now I had heard more of them. The way in which he relayed his experiences made you realize that life is to be lived boldly, with passion for what you do and with love for your family and with humor to brighten even the cloudy days.

Ron Carlson remarked to me (his wife) that Mr. Gewant did a lot of very important professional work, but also took time for family and hospitality at times such as when our son and Ron visited. Mr. Gewant made an impression on Ron when he (Mr. G.) played saxophone also. They both enjoy music and fine wine!!!
