Soledad Kamzan passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas after a brief illness. She was 89 years old. She was born in 1929 to Juan Lat and Cecilia Libuit of the Philippines. She finished college with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and worked for the Bureau of lands in the Philippines before moving to the United States. She had raised six children after her late husband Orlando Miranda passed away in 1967. She married in 1982 to Seymour Kamzan of Northridge, California. She worked for Los Angeles county recreation and parks. She also worked as a cosmetologist. They moved to Las Vegas for retirement in early 2000.
She was active in the senior community of Summerlin in Las Vegas participating in dance groups that performed throughout the community. She also learned and enjoyed making fancy jewelry.
Soledad is survived by five children Dante Omar Miranda, Oliver Miranda, Madelon Salindong, Oscar Miranda, and Neil Miranda. She was predeceased by her son Orlando Miranda Jr. There are twenty grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
