Whenever Mike and I spoke of Simona, it was with the deepest admiration and affection. We used to call her "the earth mother" of our group. She had a kind spirit and giving heart and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her knew she was an extraordinary woman. Her inimitable 'joie de vivre" was infectious. Her philanthropic nature left an indelible mark which inspired me to get involved with a women and children in crisis organization. It was a gift to know Simona.
