We're so sorry to read about Millie's passing; we had intended to visit her, since it had been some time since we last saw one another. She and Harry lived next door to us, in the duplex with two hibiscus plants in front. I've included a photo taken in the 70's of Millie,Harry amp; my parents at a New Year's Eve party at my uncle's house. I remember going with my mother,Patricia, to visit with Millie and Harry. We spent the day in Santa Monica, and I clearly recall Millie making me a daisy-chain lei to wear on my head at the park. Most of my stuffed animals came from her, and I still have them to this day. In spite of being neighbors, she and my Mom spoke on the phone daily. When we last chatted in 2014, she still had the Scottish accent I recalled, and she giggled when I asked her how she and Harry first met. May she rest in peace. Shalom.

Auntie Millie, as she was so fondly known, was a woman of habit who lived a very simple life. She loved to travel, read and just be around people. She was always willing to help others but also taught us that you must take care of yourself. I found this quote which summed up her life Keep your heart free from hate. Your mind free from worry. Live simply. Expect little. Give much. Fill your life with love
