Michael E. Minson passed away on April 29, 2021 at the age of 81. He was the devoted husband of 50 years to Launa Newman-Minson, loving father to Whitney, admiring father-in-law to Alex Yarosh, and adoring grandfather to Willa, Frankie and Leo Yarosh. Michael experienced success as a businessman, traveling the world as he built Minoco into a leading oil and gas investment management firm. In the process he developed a worldwide circle of friends with whom he stayed in touch throughout his life. He had a ready and infectious smile, wicked sense of humor, keen intellect, and a passion for lifelong learning, which he continued in his later years as an active member of The Plato Society. His greatest joy in life was spending time with Whitney, Alex and their three children. He attended every sporting event in which the children participated and never missed a special occasion in their lives. His untimely passing leaves a huge void in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to come into his orbit. He is survived by his brother, Gilbert, sister-in-law Melanie, nieces Mallory and Danielle, and cousin Anita Rosenberg.
