Leda Danzig, Oct 13, 1935-Oct 17, 2014

Leda Loseff Danzig, 79, passed away peacefully at home in Woodland Hills, following a long illness. Her family was at her side.
Leda was born in Chicago to Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Alvin Loseff. She graduated from Northwestern University in 1956. While there, Leda met and married Ronald Danzig, MD and soon after they moved to Los Angeles where they raised their family. A Diamond Life Master bridge player, Leda could be found most days at the Bridge Academy.
Leda was an accomplished gardener and particularly loved her roses and orchids. An adventurous traveler, she visited every continent. She loved the High Sierra and was an elegant skier, a determined hiker and an accomplished angler; she enjoyed many vacations with close friends and family at her mountain home in Mammoth Lakes.
Leda is survived by husband Ronald Danzig MD, and by her daughters Allison Danzig (Amy Ellingson), Pamela Danzig-Tellez (Chris Tellez) and Lisa Danzig MD. The family extends deepest gratitude to her outstanding, devoted caregivers, Samantha Escobar and Evelyn Montenegro.
Services will be held Sunday, Oct 19, 2014 at 10 am at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, 6150 Mt. Sinai Dr., Simi Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation (
