I recite the Mourner's Kaddish for my friend, Joseph. May the love and prayers of friends bring you peace at this difficult time. All through Jr and Sr High homeroom it was "Koenka - Kolodzieski-Koster-Kotoff..." I loved having Joe as a friend during those years. I only recently "found him" on Facebook as I began to work on our 40th Reunion. G-dspeed, my friend.

I was your high school date at the prom. You were Boys League President at the time. I was honored that you asked me. You were so popular and had so many friends and I was new in 11the grade and had never been to a WHS school. You were funny. You had a great sense of humor. We joked about the way you drove my parents electra 225 Buick to The Queen Mary that night. It was nice you remembered my parents-I remember driving your folks Buick! I will remember you well~

He was my best Otaku Friend, the person with whom I could talk to about anime and not feel embarrassed. We had a running list going and would always compare notes on what we'd binge watch over the weekend. He spoke to me about his family and how proud he was. He'd tell me about his adventures at anime conventions and share pictures and of course comments. We had many laughs together. All my memories of him are good ones and will always be held close in my heart. I will greatly miss my Otaku Friend, please rest in peace and my condolences to your family and friends, those I know and those I don't know. You are a kind and caring individual. You never know how a person will touch someone's life, you touched mine my Otaku Friend and I will never forget you.

Joseph was one of the kindest person I have known He was always upbeat no matter what came his way He loved his family and shared pictures of their adventures, and always had a smile and you could hear the love and joy in his voice when he spoke of them. Joseph was a programmer at work, and we had to call him when we had errors, and Joseph would say "Oooohhh noooo" in a way that we would laugh and not feel so dumb about getting the error. He will be missed first and foremost as a friend, and secondly a coworker. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief, you will be missed Joseph Koenka And will be remembered with a smile, but in the end God said "Come on home, Joseph; come on home. "
