Today, my uncle, Darcy will be laid to rest. Any time I think of him from my childhood to today, the words....gentle soul, kind, humble, loving, giving, caring, ......... always thinking about others..........and I could easily think of many other words to describe what a wonderful person he was and will always be to me. And.....while I am happy that he is no longer struggling in this life, my heart aches knowing that he has passed. Uncle Darcy, today, January 12th,2020 is your day, a day of celebration for you and all those who knew and loved you. We celebrate who you were, all of the good things that you did in your life, and the many beautiful memories you created for each of us while you were here. Once again, I thank you for coming to Maine when Aunt Pearl and Dad died. Those precious moments spent with you at the kitchen table, reminiscing were priceless. They meant so much to me, and once again reminded me of why I love you so much. At a time when we were all filled with sadness, you managed to bring a little light into our lives just by being you. I believe that there are angels on earth, and there is no question in my mind that you are one of them. So.....rest beautiful uncle...you have certainly earned it.....and know that you will always be missed.....but today....we celebrate all that you meant and will always mean to us. Love you, Uncle Darcy.......?
