Jeffrey Allen Martin, was born on August 24th, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. His family later moved to Seaford, Long Island, NY. There he met a group of friends he played baseball, basketball, and football with. Jeff also liked watching sports. He grew a passion for playing tennis. He was a huge NY Rangers hockey fan. He also was an avid reader and was proud of the library of books and magazines he collected. Jeff loved all kinds of books such as mysteries, politics and history. Some of his favorite authors were Elmore Leonard and James Patterson. Jeff attended C.W. Post college as a history major. He started his career in sales as a textile salesman. His line of work took him to travel to other countries such as China, India and some Central and South American countries. Jeff shared his love for travel with his wife, Clara. They enjoyed cruises and traveled to Europe, China, the Caribbean and Israel. He loved art, history, theatre, film and culture. He cared about world affairs and encouraged his children, Ross and Jaime, to care about social issues and the needs of others. He was a very compassionate and generous man. He often helped others in need and offered people his home to stay. Jeff loved music. He enjoyed listening to Miles Davis, Bruce Springsteen and U2. He also enjoyed a very good glass of wine. Jeff is survived by his wife, Clara, son, Ross, daughter, Jaime, son-in-law, Yosef, his grandchildren, Ethan, Simona and Ezana, his brother, Jerry and sister-in-law, Beverly and his dog, Charlie. Jeffrey Allen Martin passed away December 28, 2020.
