Prayers from us to the family of Helen. May she rest in peace and may you feel that her passing allows her to be in a better place. " Nothing you love is lost. Not Really. Things, people - they always go away sooner or later. You can't hold them anymore than you can hold moonlight. But, if they've touched you, if they're inside you, then they're still yours. The only things you really ever have are the ones you hold inside your heart."

I remember our times at the Highland Games and clan gatherings. No one added more personal warmth and cheer at the events than Helen Presser. And I could never forget her humor. When Helen Presser saw my strapping, 5 foot frame march in with a BIG bass drum; she smiled wide, chuckled with love, and said, "Your size doesn't matter. You play like a champion. That's what matters." Thanks, Helen... for the encouragement, love and laughter. You are sorely missed.

Rest in Peace dear Mrs. Presser. Helen was a second mom to many of the kids growing up on Ballinger Street. Her "open door" policy was incredibly helpful for kids going through the woes of adolescence and she made every one of us kids always feel at home. Helen was also my first "drum instructor". In addition to her prowess on the drum set, she was also a state rudimentary champion when she was younger. I'll always recall with fondness her showing me the basic rudiments on her blue sparkle Leedy drums. Thank you Helen for bringing your family to Ballinger Street. You helped make it the perfect place to grow up.
