GOLDMAN, GIDEON
It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Gideon Goldman on December 12th, 2014.
A war hero that helped save Jerusalem, a successful CPA and property investor, Gideon travelled the world, made hundreds of friends and lived his life to the fullest.
Born on March 23rd, 1928 in Palestine, now Israel, he was the only son of Rebecca and Benjamin Goldman and brother to Ruth Meggido and Noah Hatzoff.
Growing up as a strong Zionist youth, he protected Jerusalem against attack in 1949 and was severely wounded at the battle of Notre Dam.
Moving to America soon after his recovery, he completed his BA, MA and CPA exam in California and opened his practice in Los Angeles.
His daughter, Nectar, was born soon afterward. In 1968 Gideon married Lorraine Dolly Lipschutz and Andrew Goldman became his son.
Gideon is survived by his wife Margi Kaufman Goldman, son Andrew Goldman and his wife Tracey Goldman, grandson Benjamin Goldman, daughter Nectar Redman and granddaughter Rebecca Redman.
Services will be at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills, on Sunday, December 14th at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to B’nai B’rith or Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
