Gary Morton Barnbaum
Gary died unexpectedly on October 20. He was a loving husband, beloved father and step-father, cherished brother, and treasured uncle. He was surrounded by family and friends throughout his life.
Gary was a gifted athlete, prodigious reader, artful writer and public speaker. His passions were many: The Chicago Bears and Cubs; progressive politics; travel, live music, theater and museums; the art of the humorous anecdote. But he reserved his greatest passion for the people in his life, cherishing family and loyal friendships.
He will be missed beyond words and measure by anyone with the good fortune to meet him. His memory will be a blessing to all.
Donations in Gary’s name should be made to a charity near and dear to your heart, or please consider a donation to Congregation Or Ami where Gary found his home away from home.
