Mount Sinai Obituaries and Services » Florence Gish
Florence Gish, born June 2, 1916; died January 6, 2010. Florence was a mother of four, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of nine, nearly every one of whom was with her when she passed away at Kaiser Hospital following a heart attack. The youngest of five children born to Max and Mollie Lattman, who emigrated from Russia to Chicago at the turn of the 20th Century, Florence moved with her family to Los Angeles in 1930. There she met Earle Gish, to whom she was married for 36 years, until his death in 1971. Florence was beloved by her large extended family and virtually everyone who came in contact with her because of her sweet and loving nature. She will be greatly missed and eternally remembered. Contributions may be made to the City of Hope.
