I am so saddened to read about the passing of Dr.Elane Geller. My daughter is learning about the Holocaust in 8th grade, so I shared with her a very special book that was given to me by Ms.Geller back in the early 1990's when I was in middle school myself. She came to speak to my school, and I was so touched by her story. I wrote her a letter, and apparently she was so touched by my letter, that she sent me a book called, "I Never Saw Another Butterfly," which includes beautiful drawings and poems written by children in concentration camps. Inside the book is a handwritten letter to me by Ms.Geller, and I will treasure this book and her letter for the rest of my life. Her story of strength and survival was inspirational, and I am so grateful to have been able to hear it. My deepest condolences to her family.
