You are not alone, my friend. Allow me to share a poem I wrote a few days ago that you might like. ISAIAH 57:1,2 Death is a messy transition That puts us in an awkward position We have to face mourners And state how we care About all their grief as Their loved one's not there While at times what we feel inside Is something like envy for them who have died Who at last have gone to their rest Which in many cases is best Paul said that to live is Christ And he said that to die is gain Which for many in the world Must certainly seem insane But the world never did much care For Heaven and who is there And the world itself is insane So why wouldn't death be gain? When you get a chance you should read What Isaiah 57 has said: That the righteous are taken away To find peace among the dead We must struggle among those here In this world that's so vulgar and queer But when it's all said and done It's better to be with God and his Son We are sentenced for now to this life With its lessons, its suffering and strife But as long as we have God obeyed We should not be by death dismayed As the One who commands life and death Gives us back our life with his breath In a world that is better by far Than the crazy world where we now are Rest in peace, Edward.
