Dr. Jeffrey Irwin Rosenberg, of Encino, California, born on May 23, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Harriet Rosenberg and the late Julius Rosenberg, passed away at age 73 on September 7, 2018 in Santa Monica. He graduated from Rider College and attended Brooklyn Law School followed by the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Jeffrey served in the Army National Guard. After serving briefly in the Nassau County District Attorney’s office, he built a prosthodontics practice in Los Angeles, teaching in the dental schools of USC, UCLA, and Loma Linda University. He performed volunteer cleft palate surgeries and rose to leadership positions in the national Jewish dental fraternal organization Alpha Omega. Jeffrey was the beloved husband of Shea Rosenberg. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sarah Spilke; and grandfather, Kisiel Spilke. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Joy Rosenberg (Josh Kamensky), Julie Rosenberg (Ayal Kleinman), and Kaitlyn Rosenberg (Ben Shuman); brother, Allan Rosenberg (Ilana); and grandchildren, Lyla Kleinman and Phoebe Kamensky. Those who wish may donate in Jeffrey’s name to the American Technion Society, the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund-Valley Beth Shalom, the Liberty Hill Foundation and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Foundation. Friends and family are welcome to attend the funeral service, officiated by Rabbi Edward Feinstein, on Wednesday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks & Mortuaries, 6150 Mount Sinai Dr, Simi Valley, California, 93063. Shiva will commence at the family home on Wednesday.
