As the next door neighbor of Dena's family while she was growing up, one memory which will always stand out for me is Dena standing next to her father while their Great Dane ran full speed from one end of the sidewalk to the other, while Scott hollered "Mouse, come on!" Those dogs made Dena giggle.

Dena, I remember the first time we met like it was yesterday. You came down to my house looking for Josh (gotta love Delaware!) and we ended up chatting for hours. Your incredible smile made me feel as if we had known each other for years. I recall you telling the story about Princess Diaries after Reagan referenced the movie. To this day, she and I have always distinguished you as Princess Diaries Dena. I admire the bond that you and Ben shared and the solid rock you were for your kids. It's a shame that the world was cheated out of enjoying your presence longer. Looking forward to seeing you again someday, my friend. Love & warm hugs, Jenna

Dear Ben, Josh and Leah, What an incredible service for a most amazing woman! How Brian and I wish we knew her better but pray that we can stay close to you all. Dena sounds like one of the most remarkable women I have ever known and I know that she blessed every person she came in contact with. It was a joy to meet her last summer and spend a fabulous lunch and chocolate shopping with Ben and Dena. Your Savannah family, Joan

Love & coldolences to the Yosfan Family. Dena had a great smile & laugh that drew you in and you immediately felt like you had known her forever. Dena fought hard and inspired many with her determination. Dena will live on forever with everyone who was fortunate enough to have been touched by her kind nature and the bright light she brought into all our lives. Baseball brought Dena into our families life and we feel very privileged & honored that we got to share the beautiful spring season with her.

Dena, you were a bright spot in everybody's life who knew you. Thank you for being an important bright spot in Sandi's life. I was so happy that you were going to live close by again so you could attend our July 4th party. I hope your family will still want to come, if only because you enjoyed it so much. I will think of you every time I eat at the Bear Pit or use their BBQ sauce. Rest in peace beautiful girl . . .

Dena, I loved being your neighbor on the 'other' side of Delaware street and a sister in ROSC. Your smile could light up a room and your voice was listened to and respected. Your love for your family was always evident. You won't be forgotten.

Dena, we were on the German adventure together. I remember meeting you and we instantly had shared challenges navigating the culture, but we laughed. Your smile was so warm, and I saw a sparkle in your eye. Beautiful Dena, our hearts are broken, and Ben, Josh and Leah will forever be in my prayers. You are out of pain now and singing in Heaven above.
