Berns, David J.
David Joseph Berns, born January 5, 1917, died last Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 98 years old. He was the son of Max and Jenny Borenstein, a Veteran of WWII, and a business owner with integrity both in his professional and personal life. As a Veteran of WWII, he served as Lieutenant First Class. After the war he started Electronic Expediters, Inc., an ongoing business which he never retired from. His sense of style would have rivaled GQ and on any occasion he was certainly the most well-dressed attendee. David was a man of integrity who’s ethics were his morals. That’s how he ran his business and that’s how he lived his life. He is survived by Eva, his wife of 72 years, his children: daughter Alexis, son Ira and wife Carol, and daughter Jacqueline, grandchildren: Casey Dodd and wife Amy, Jonathan Garson, Sabrina Garson, Breanna Schucolsky and husband Jonathan, and Joshua Berns. He will be dearly missed. Service is Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, Ca. 90068.
