Coleman A. Reisman REISMAN, Coleman A. “Carl” Passed away July 10, 2008, at his home in Los Angeles. He was 80 years old. Carl was born in Riga, Latvia on September 13, 1927, as a United States citizen, to the late Yetta and Nathan Reisman. Carl was a World War II veteran. In September of 1948 he moved from New York City to Los Angeles. After graduating from the UCLA School of Engineering in 1951, Carl worked for the U.S. Naval Undersea Research and Development Center as a Mechanical Engineer. He developed several award-winning patents. Carl was also an avid photographer and always enjoyed a good cigar. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his three children, Andrea, Kimberly, and Michael; and two grandchildren, Jordan and Lauren.In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the City of Hope, Duarte, CA in the name of Coleman A. Reisman.
