Carrie died of early onset Alzheimer’s disease at home surrounded by her loving family. Carrie was born in Los Angeles, California. She attended Cal State Northridge, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree, and then she obtained a master’s degree in Food Sciences. She won the prestigious entrepreneur of the year award from CSUN. She also endowed a scholarship to help others follow in her footsteps .Every year she gave her time and expertise to interns from CSUN to show them how to help people achieve success. Because of her interest in food sciences, Carrie was convinced that the best path to a healthy life was a combination of fresh, tasty and healthy food, together with exercise. Carrie started her own company, called Diet Designs. In it, she combined fresh, gourmet cuisine with low-fat preparation, portion control and personal counseling. She was the first to revolutionize the diet business by delivering her food fresh to her clients several times a week. Both celebrities and other were soon flocking to her door. Carrie wrote three books on diet and healthy living, appeared on many new and TV shows. In addition, she became a spokesperson for foods that she deemed healthy. She wrote columns for several publications, including “Living Fit” magazine. She starred in her own television show for two years called “Living Better with Carrie Wiatt.” Her goal in life was to heal other people. She was the most caring person, to the first one to ask if she could help, the first one to make a donations, or a loan to a friend. She was beloved by all who knew her and she will be sorely missed. Carrie is survived by her parents, Mimi and Arron, her daughter, Bella, Bella’s father Peter, her sister and best friend, Andi, Andi’s two children, Spencer and Haley and their father Stuart, as well as her cousins Rae and Kevin, her aunt Grace, and a multitude of other relatives and friends, and her devoted caregivers Annie and Nancy.
