I'm very late to this tribute but wanted to express my sadness that Paul's not around to uplift, inspire and make us laugh. In 1985, I had just moved to LA to attend UCLA and ran into him as I waited for my car outside a restaurant. Long story short...he gave me an internship to manage talent on tape days. What fun we had. In the pre-internet era, Paul had to do serious research on his guests...so much so that most guests were amazed at the info Paul had discovered about them. He graciously let me attend talent workshops (got to meet his roomie, Leigh Taylor-Young), played tennis (he continued to insist he won no matter what...with a smile), and we talked about the health food and showbiz. He worked so hard and he was a pure soul...always so positive. Four years after his passing and I instinctively reached for my cell to call him about something I saw on television and then stopped. He deserved a much longer run.

Every time he got up to do the announcements I would immediately smile because I knew that some spiritual comedy was on the way. It always made me laugh out loud. Such a blessing to this planet. You will be missed.

By all visible metrics, I hardly knew Paul. And yet, I KNEW him. Thank you Paul for seeing me, for being such a presence of love--even in the 12.2 seconds that we actually physically interacted. You've touched my life in such a good way. Your love and light live on.

Thank you for the laughter that touched my soul. We will miss you and your humor, the twinkle in your eyes, the way you made us all laugh with your announcements during services at Agape International Spiritual Center. We will miss the kindness of your physical presence. Thank you for being such a light. Peace Be Still...

Paul, you made me laugh even when I wanted to cry. I know you will do the same for every soul you will meet in heaven, you will probably be the MAYOR. I miss you already and I can't imagine not being able to pick up the phone to hear your voice, I actually wanted to do it since Friday... Please rest in peace, you deserve comfort... and plenty of avocados! You are in my heart and will be there forever. Please give both my parents a big kiss and hug. I know they will love hearing your stories. Taylor was looking forward to seeing you when we go to California, she's heard all the stories and seen all the videos and is a big fan too. Yours forever, Cheryl Goldenberg and my daughter Taylor.

Paul was the first person in Los Angeles to tell me I had what it took to pursue television. At a time when I was really searching I 'discovered' him and he took me to the next level. He gave me that fabulous 'oomph' that I needed in the very beginning, and he did it with lots of support and positivity. Not a nasty, mean bone in his body. Only love. I will always remember his kindness, honesty, compassion, humility, love and joy for life. Rest In Peace, Georgia

To many -- including me -- Paul was an angel in the very best way: kind, loving and always focused on you and your well-being. When I first came to Los Angeles, Paul's simple and humble humanity helped dispel many of my fears about whether I could fit in: he counseled me that -- at its core -- the entertainment business was about real people who deeply cared for each other. When he invited me to his birthday party -- where I met his great and loving friends Jane Russell and Esther Williams -- I saw that advice brought to vivid life. Lucky me for knowing Paul. Lucky all of us.

I am so sad and sorry to learn about Paul's passing. He was such a vibrant man and helped coach me as a TV host. Paul will always live on in our hearts and memories, and I for one will light a candle to honor the path he lit for me. My deepest sympathies to you, dear Joyce.
