Belle Sorotskin (Osipow) (b. September 11,1916), artist, mother and grandmother, passed away on September 30, 2015. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey, Lisa and Matthew Bloomfield, and grandchildren, Aaron Moore, Leslie, Iris and Nathan Bloomfield. In the course of a long, creativity-centered life she was a student at Chouinard and UCLA, and a prolific printmaker, collage artist, and painter. She was an active member of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society and exhibited her work internationally. Locally, 50 pieces of hers are on permanent display at The Burbank Senior Arts Colony. Her lively joie de vivre and her irrepressible sense of humor will be keenly missed. A service is to be held on October 18, at 2 pm at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park.
